Annual overview
A connected first year
The programme combined capacity building for youth workers with a youth exchange where young people could practise participation, dialogue and European citizenship. Both activities took place in Horezu, Vâlcea County, and were designed as complementary parts of the accreditation pathway.

What Year 1 taught us
Peer learning becomes stronger when it is connected to real civic practice. Meaningful access for rural communities must be built into recruitment and support. Pairing youth-worker development with a youth exchange helps methods travel from training rooms into young people’s experiences.
